Of course, this is why Jack Bogle, years ago (Princeton, 1951, in his thesis) said basically the same things. Folks didn't listen then, they don't listen now. This is why Jack Bogle founded Vanguard. It sometimes seems like I am butting my head against the wall in this forum, but if folks here would obey Bogle's simple rules (diversify, age-in-bonds, low-cost index funds, buy hold and re-balance), they would be ever so much happier as they entered retirement.
