The AA Credit Union web site is an exceptional site. Many of the products are available online. You can transfer funds from savings/checking/variable line of credit with ease. You can pay car/house loans and credit cards with ease. Great set of calculators. I also like the style of the web site.
I left TD Bank after they had repeatedly messed up my accounts and went directly to American Airlines Credit Union, a bank that had just opened up in my then-place of work, the airport. At the beginning, everything ran swimmingly. They were extremely helpful in setting the accounts (checking and savings) and explaining all the terms and conditions that came with it. Also, their online banking services are top notch in comparison to TD Bank, where I can easily manage credit card payments and utilities all from the same place. For the past couple of years, I've noticed a major lapse in their customer service. Just today, they deactivated my card without notification, and I spent over an hour with them trying to get it turned back on. It involved an online chat and multiple phone calls. At various points in time, AACU has been both an absolute delight to work them as well as a total nightmare. I still wouldn't go back to TD Bank, but AACU's services has gone somewhat downhill since I've joined. I really hope they manage to go back to a more welcoming and easy environment.
They will take your money and do with what they want with it, without your knowledge or permission. They harass you by denying you access to your account not only by debit but on-line, so you cannot pay your loans or deposit money. They assessed a overdraft fee on me because when I deposited money into my account, they purposefully diverted it and put it into my savings account, so they could collect their fees, even though I had proof that it was supposed to be deposited into my checking. Then charged me a fee for trying to debit money from my checking because it had no money in it because they put it in my savings. When I brought it to their attention, they said "prove it" and I did. They credited some of my so called overdraft fees but not all of the transfer fees they charged me. This bank is the worst. Your money isn't your own at this bank, beware!
I worked for American Airlines for 10 years. During that time and after, I have my banking with their credit union, the AACU or American Airlines Credit Union. I think the credit union is fantastic. They have several banking options and the savings rates always beat out other banks. I was able to buy a car with them at a great price because they worked directly with car dealerships in the area. They even have a Christmas savings plan, where you pull out some money for you check every month, and you couldn't take it out until November. There were no additional fees for that. Really helped people pay for Christmas. The Branches were all over the airport, but they also have branches in different locations for family who didn't have daily access to the airport. Overall in had no complaints about this Credit Union and think they do a great job.
