I'm just disgusted with this bank I've been waiting about three weeks for a pin to activate my card and on top of that you can't even go to the teller to take your own money out without a pin number this is crazy I feel like my money is being held hostage as soon as this pin comes whenever it does in closing this account I wouldn't recommend this bank at all
Open account 4 years ago first South was a great bank here lately they gone to crap they erase stuff off my statments paid a bill it cleared through 3 days later money back in my account like transaction was never made this bank gone down hill changing banks stay away from this bank it's not worth the headache
First South purchased 6 branches from B of A. We were of course promised many things of which none have been fulfilled. My ATM card does not work as it can not be activated, my direct deposits would transition automatically have failed and online banking is in the stone age. To make matters worse customer service by phone is only open M-F 8-7 pm.
First off don't like the new set up. I like being able to call and activate a card, not have to jump through hoops to do it. I don't want to change a password every 90 days either, which I have found out you get this with this bank. Their automated system is a joke I do not want to leave a message and have my bank get back to me. You cannot pick out your own PIN. So far I am not impressed with this bank and prefer BOA a lot better. If I called BOA I got someone to help right away, and having access to my card was easy.
The First South Bank location in Washington, NC are people who do not want to help the customer! We will never have another mortgage with this bank. BB & T 's are customer oriented and assist the customer with what ever they need. I have never called a BB & T branch and been told to contact another branch. This branch needs to take a course in assisting the customer !
