1. The Membership Scam:
They lure you in with promises of "easy membership," but what they really mean is "easy to join our scam." You sign up, thinking you're on a path to financial freedom, but it's more like a path to financial servitude.
2. The Interest Rates - A Highway Robbery:
Their interest rates are like tolls on a highway that never ends. You think you're getting a good deal, but then you realize their "high-yield" is more like "high theft." It's like they've got a secret tax on your money.
3. The Fee Jungle:
Navigating their fees is like trying to find your way out of a jungle at night. There's a fee for breathing, a fee for looking at your balance, and my favorite, the "we just felt like it" fee. They've turned banking into an adventure sport.
4. Customer Service - A Black Hole:
Customer service at OnPath is like calling into the void. You wait on hold so long, you start to question your life choices. When you finally get through, you're greeted by someone who's mastered the art of not solving your problems.
5. The Loan Approval Farce:
Getting approved for a loan is like being invited to an exclusive club, but then you find out the club is a financial nightmare. They approve you, but the terms? It's like signing a deal with a cartoon villain.
6. Security? What Security?
Their security measures are as effective as a paper umbrella in a hurricane. They ask for all your personal info but provide protection that's about as solid as a cheese grater.
7. The Rewards Program - A Mirage:
Their rewards program is like chasing a mirage in the desert. You're promised great returns, but all you get is a reward so small, you need a microscope to see it.
8. The Mobile App - A Labyrinth:
Their app is designed like a labyrinth where the Minotaur is your bank account being drained. It's so user-unfriendly, you'll miss the days of walking into a branch just to feel less frustrated.
9. The Misleading Marketing:
Their marketing is full of promises like "we're here for you," but in reality, they're here for your money. It's like they're selling you a dream while quietly stealing your wallet.
10. The Credit Score Game:
They claim to help improve your credit score, but it's more like they're playing roulette with your financial reputation. One missed payment due to their Byzantine billing system, and your score takes a dive.
11. The Scam Alerts - A Joke:
They warn you about scams while practicing some of the best scam techniques themselves. It's like a thief giving you tips on home security while robbing you.
12. The BBB Rating - A Facade:
An "A" rating from the BBB? It's like giving a gold star to a student who's absent most of the year. The real reviews tell a story of frustration, confusion, and financial regret.
13. The Loan Terms - Invisible Ink:
Their loan terms are written in such fine print, you'd need a magnifying glass and a degree in legal speak to understand them. By the time you do, you've signed your life away.
14. The Transparency Illusion:
Transparency at OnPath is like looking through a frosted glass window. You think you see clearly, but all you get are vague shapes and shadows of what's really going on with your money.
15. The "Community" Lie:
They talk about being part of the community, but their actions show they're more interested in your community's wallet than in community service. It's like they're community vampires.
Conclusion:
OnPath Federal Credit Union isn't just off the path; it's a detour into financial quicksand. If you're thinking of joining, remember, this path leads to one place: your bank account's demise.
So, if you're looking for a financial institution, take any path but OnPath unless you want your financial journey to end in a comedic tragedy.
OnPath has become the laughingstock of credit unions. I went on vacation, and I informed them of my whereabouts prior to leaving and my card still did not work, come to find out they did not put my credit card on travel status, which is recommended by us as members. That was not the first time either. Hats off!!!! A COMPLETE JOKE!!!! Online banking is a joke as well. Most employees there are rude, especially the ones associated with the loan department and loan personnel in the branches. One in particular at the SLIDELL BRANCH, where a family member was being helped there, she reminded her as a CURMUDGEON and has no personal skills when speaking and talked to her like if she was a child. She almost lost it. She was encouraged to buy the Life/disability, GAP, and Warranty with her vehicle loan. When she went to use it, she had to pay for most of the repairs to be done because the warranty at Route 66 would not cover it all. She paid $2200.00 for protection, and it is worthless. Telephone Service personnel, I hear, have the most complaints of all. Imagine that other than the branches, they are the front line at ONPATH!!!!
When it was ASI FCU, it was friendlier, and the people were more approachable. The reason is, there was no incentive program in place, it was just a family-oriented atmosphere, no hassle experience. Now it seems like they are a vehicle hungry/Credit Card push’in/loan junky CHOP SHOP!!! They raised my friend’s credit limit and told her it would improve her credit score, and it did, but what they really wanted to do was make her spend more money and get her deeper in debt. The illusion worked ONPATH, GREAT JOB!!!!
What kind of system is that????? Now she has more debt and can barely make her payments. ONPATH only wants your loans so they can become a billion-dollar credit union here soon and not care one bit about the members anymore, which tells me, THEY DON'T GIVE 2 CRAPS ABOUT YOU, JUST YOUR MONEY especially when it comes to new money accounts. The upper chain of command receives heavy incentives if all this transpires, so it is pushed down among the ranks for their benefits. They just don't care anymore and that is sad. I have read numerous online reviews, and the members know what they are talking about, but ONPATH does not listen, and concerns go unnoticed. They lost their mojo when it became a BANK!!! They are paying incentives to their employees to make them money hungry, which tells you that member service went out the window. Even the employees are cut throating each other for business. I witnessed it with my own eyes, when 2 employees were arguing in front of us for business, while waiting to be seen. SAD AND PATHETIC!!!!!
Credit Unions are for the working-class people, not to be operated like a BIG BANK!!!! Oh, and get this, I overheard if you DO NOT make your goal, you are written up. If you want to hear what's going on at OnPath, just wait in line in the branch. So, tell me, is that going to help the average person looking for a financial institution to put their money in???? I will never promote this sorry credit union to anyone. Find one that will work for you.
