I have been a customer of Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union since 1989. I love this bank because of its customer service and attention to detail, making me feel like a trusted friend than just a customer. I have a checking account, a savings account, and a secondary savings account that I use for special projects, such as vacations, large purchases, or Christmas. The checking account plan that I have guarantees me overdraft protection because, if for some reason, my account is overdrawn, the bank will transfer funds from my saving account into my checking account. The bank will do this at no charge, as long as I only have three such instances in a specific time period and my savings account has higher than the minimum balance. The bank has a program for younger customers; I have enrolled both of my sons in an early banking program. They both have savings accounts that earn a small interest rate, but allows them to become savers for things in their future. I love my bank!
Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union has been my bank for over 23 years. It is small enough for personal recognition with the staff but big enough to offer the same things as a big time bank. I can always go in and dispute a fee and the customer service will always be polite and kind even if I do not get what I want. Now their fees are outrageous and for things like statements and bad transfer etc. things I am not sure i know what it means but it can be found on my statement. I am please with HT and do not plan on changing any time soon.
