Extremely Easy On All Fronts

Posted by: |

I have been working with Neighbors for over a year now and all the products and people have been extremely easy to work with. I have a savings account with them and also decided to close on my new home with Neighbors too. With all their transactions the process seems very straightforward and whenever I have a question their staff responds immediately and addresses any concerns.

Also it does not hurt that they seem to have very competitive rates across the board!

Very Happy Customer

I have had a savings account here for a couple of years and am very happy with the bank. Their mortgage rates are competitive and they make it feel like they are one of your Neighbors!

Wonderful Experience!

I am so glad I decided to open an account with Neighbors. It was so easy, everything is super accessible and I feel very taken care of. I really recommend this bank and their handy app.

A Bank With A Heart

I have been so pleased with Neighbors Bank. From the very beginning they have provided amazing customer service. The people there are on top of any question I have had and are so helpful and kind. I have been super happy with the savings rate as well and have been telling all my friend about it!

Awesome Experience

Simple account opening, really easy to navigate, and great rates. I'd highly recommend!

Solid Bank

Simple and easy user interface. Good rates. Customer service is there to help whenever you need anything. Nice job.

Very Disappointed

Highly do NOT recommend Neighbors Bank. I’ve tried everything I can to get ahold of them and request a new loan officer (as I was not getting any answers or questions met)...made some phone calls and his boss called me back out of obligation. Said he was taking over and I could email and text the same email given and phone number and I still haven’t heard back weeks later. Absolutely horrible experience with multiple employees, I’m very disappointed in Neighbors Bank.

Savings Rates

Posted by: |

I had spoken to the Mgr. and they will hold 1.7 % rates for new account holders. Neighbors Bank suspended new accounts for the 1.7 % rates back in May 2020 until further notice. I got in at the nick of time.

Setting up accounts are easy and sending money to your account is 3 day fast as long as you use your neighbors account for the transfer, and up to 50,000 a day if you need to. I am not going to say much more until I have been a customer for awhile but so far I have a good feeling about this bank. Workers at this bank respond quickly with answers to questions.

Update 4/22/2021

They are still a good bank but rates have dropped a lot since I created my Neighbors savings account so I am thinking of getting a close to home credit union bank which offers .95% on savings.

Easy Opening- Year Later Account Dormancy?

Posted by: |

Process is simple and smooth. Hopefully they hold the rate of 1.7% on this account for a while.

Rate is at .7, after many drops, however, still competitive, so have a maximum balance there. Today, I tried to access online and my account was 'gone', no history, no statements, just blank. I called customer service, glad they are there on Sunday, and was told my account, despite activity, was placed into dormancy. The agent assured me she will have her supervisor correct this immediately, and call me. I didn't receive a phone call, but checking online, the account info is back online. I received an email, that ACH transactions do not count as 'activity', and that you must make a 'deposit' into the account 1x a year, and that can be done by a mobile deposit. First, I am taken back that NO contact, email, mail, phone, was made to advise the account would be placed into dormancy without a non-ach deposit. There is no other way to make a withdrawal as this is a non-check writing savings account. No where in my account opening documents do I find that requirement. I have asked to see where that requirement, of a non-ach deposit is required to satisfy the account not to be placed into dormancy. Just a heads up to anyone else holding a savings account, who has not made a non-ach transaction.
