STCU is headquartered in Liberty Lake and is the 2nd largest credit union in the state of Washington. It is also the 61st largest credit union in the nation. It was established in 1934 and as of September of 2024, it had grown to 889 employees and 284,132 members at 42 locations. STCU has a B+ health rating.
STCU is open to those who reside, work, attend school, or worship in the state of Washington or in the following northern Idaho counties: Bonner, Benewah, Boundary, Latah, Kootenai, Lewis, Shoshone, or Nez Perce.
Anyone related by blood, marriage, or adoption to an individual who meets eligibility requirements also qualifes for membership. Employees of any of the Credit Union's Community Business Partners are eligible.
