A Small Bank That Knows Me

I opened an account with Texas National Bank five years ago. At the time, they had only two locations. Now they are working on the fourth location. There are no minimum balance requirement on checking. Also, there are no fees for checking, transfers and bill pay. You can truly have a "no frills account" and never have to worry about surprise fees. They treat customers personally in a friendly manner. I like the fact that I have never had to show ID past my third or fourth visit. They know my name of course. That is the kind of service I like and never had associated this service coming from a bank. I had always banked with big banks before this, 30 plus years. I will never do so again. I will keep this bank for the rest of my life, even if I move. I just hope that big banks don't absorb all the small banks and change their personal service to their impersonal and indifferent attitude.

Uncommonly Personal

Texas National Bank is located in South Texas. There are three branches. The employees of the bank are very friendly and personal. You are always greeted immediately whenever you enter the bank. They know most customers by name. I opened my account three years ago and within a month, everyone knew my name. When I make a withdrawal, I am not typically asked for ID, something that is very uncommon in this day and age. Their checking accounts have no minimum and carry no fees or monthly charges. As for the physical qualities of the bank, it has a very large lobby with a high ceiling. One could never feel crowded in there. I have never in forty years banked with a better institution. I am a grateful and satisfied customer.
