Security Issue

I recently opted for e-statement when I opened an E-savings account.

I was asked to click to a link in order to validate the process of e-statement.

As soon as I clicked to the link, I received an email from Unity Bank welcoming me to e-statement.

But, I was shocked to see my log in ID (which is OK) along with my full password in the welcoming email advising me to make a note of my log in ID and password info. I already know my log-in ID and password and a bank should not be telling me to make a note of it.

When I called and asked the customer service rep about it, she said Unity bank does not have my password yet I received the full password from them in the email.

It is my understanding that password should be encrypted and no bank and their employee should know/have my password.

I am very concerned about the passwords known to Unity Bank and I think it should be considered a serious security issue. I hope customers' accounts are safe.

Even when I changed the password, my concern remains open since the bank and their employees seem to know my full password.

I hope someone takes immediate action about this matter before Unity Bank customers accounts are compromised.
