Setting Up Multiple Links at Your E-LOAN Savings Account

POSTED ON BY

Yesterday I noticed in my account page that E-LOAN has a link that says "Open Another E-LOAN Savings Account". So I thought this may be a convenient way to link to multiple external accounts. I received confirmation from the CSR via their secure messaging system that you can set up additional savings accounts with links to different banks. All accounts that you open this way will be attached to your social security number and viewable with your username. However, they said that currently they do not have the feature to allow transfers between your E-LOAN accounts.

So opening additional E-LOAN savings accounts may make it a little easier to transfer money. But not being able to transfer between accounts is an issue. Their reply suggests that they may fix this in the future. Seems like it should be an easy fix. The only other problem would be having to fund additional accounts with new $5k deposits.

One note regarding customer service, so far I've been pleased with the response time from E-LOAN concerning my questions submitted on their secure messaging system. I sent the first on 6:00pm and received a response the next morning. The response left out the answer to one of my questions concerning transfers between E-LOAN accounts, so I sent another message. That one came back within two hours.
