4.9% 60 Month / 5.02% 48 Month If You Apply Through CD Valet

These are very interesting deals but worth noting that you need to click through the CD valet affiliate link to apply and get these special rates.

60 month 4.90% APY

48 month 5.02% APY

36 month 5.15% APY

24 month 4.89% APY

Significant disparity between these rates and the publicly advertised rates on their actual website. I called customer service and was told that they sometimes offer different deals through affiliates like CD valet. I guess sort of like a brokered cd?

I clicked the link and made an account and went to apply and did in fact see the above rates available in the pull down menu-pretty good deals with what's currently available on the long end if anyone is interested. Correct me if I'm wrong but these are currently the highest % 48/60 month CD's currently available? I doubt these are going to last very long.

Certainly good rates, thanks for the post. Even the 36mo one is at the top I believe. Does it mention anywhere what the EWP is for the various lengths? Well, all of my funds have happy homes right now, at least until the fall...

It looks like the 48 month rate has already dropped to 4.73% this morning with the other listed terms remaining the same so far.

Hi. Thank you for this tip.  Hope you can help. I must be doing something wrong. I have logged into cdvalet and I see the bank of Iowa 60 month product you noted. But when I click on the bank of Iowa logo in cd valet app it brings me to their website and the 4.9% product offering listed is not for 60 months. I have not used your link attached. I am trying to replicate your process to see the process steps and specifics myself. Can you provide some more details how you got to the bank of Iowa through the cdvalet app. To get that rate and term. Thx

Edit: the 4 year already dropped to 4.73% as my2centsworth mentioned.

CDMD,

Go to cdvalet.com (i used the desktop website)
Click standard up top to see standard term rates
Click 60 months

You'll see bank Iowa at the top of the list.

Click OPEN NOW to the right. That is the link you have to click through.

Just looked at Cdvalet.com. It is a very interesting service, somewhat similar to DA. I will dig into it deeper and see what value it may have to supplement DA listings.

Sam’s 1985. Thanks. I think my issue might be I am using the mobile version. I don’t see the “ open” button on the mobile site. I will try the desktop version. Interesting that the open button doesn’t show up on the mobile site.

Regarding 60 month term:
EWP = 24 months.
Interest compounded and credited semi-annually.

Update. I finally had time to get onto the desktop site and certainly for sure the “open” button was there just as you said. Interesting the mobile site didn’t have the “open” button unless I did something wrong on the mobile site.
Thx

I must say they're very lackadaisical about handling my money. I funded a certificate via wire and Bank Iowa can't seem to find it, but said not to worry. I was told to check tomorrow, and if it's not funded, check the next day.
