A Savings Account Which Pays Up To 5.25%

I posted this at the Miscellaneous forum earlier today too, but I may as well also post it here. Fitness Bank offers a 5% savings account which pays 5.25% if you also have a checking account. You are required to take a certain number of steps each day in order to receive the rate.

A Savings Account which pays up To 5.25% if you put a $5,000 minimum average balance in checking, maintain a $100 minimum average daily balance in savings to waive a $10 maintenance fee, do 15 monthly debit swipes in the Elite Checking, and average 10,000 + steps each day (7,500 if you're over 65).

I've never seen such convoluted strings attached to an account in exchange for my savings.

I guess that you could say that you have to take many steps, both literally and figuratively, in order to receive the 5.25% rate!

Newtek and Poppy savings @ 5.25% and no hoops. At Primis you can get a regular checking (or savings account) no hoops.

With another 25bp drop in Dec as anticipated, I doubt that these rates will be sustained
