Thanks again, ichaelm. Quontic feels like a fintech, but not sure. Wish there was a regulation that required them to post "We are a Fintech, not a real bank or credit union" Patriot has an "F" DA health rating . . . yikes, not sure if I've seen one of those before.

Openbank still has the following info on their site, just in case anyone from those 8 states reads ichaelm's appreciated work here:

"Openbank High Yield Savings is currently available in most areas - and we're coming soon to the northeast (CT, DE, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, and RI)."

Patriot Bank up ONE POINT from 4.75% to 4.76%, probably because of the negative article written about it which Fences_  posted this morning. Also, SBT dropped from 4.75% to 4.65% but remains in the top 10.

Kent Jamison does a liquid accounts summary on Deposit Quest Substack every Friday that lists the 100 top rates (links included)

Quontic is not a fintech, but it is internet only. Its 4.75% MM account allows for joint ownership and a beneficiary. Its own ACH transfer limits are relatively low, but can use an external FI to surpass those.  Call wait times are lengthy

Roger Bank obviously is increasing their level of new money, forcing them to a make change, because being such a tiny bank they eventually most likely can't keep affording to pay that high rate. Effective today, they have implemented a new rule regarding interest payout. It used to be you could have any balance over $250,000 and earn interest on all the money. But now, the amount of your balance over $250,000 does not earn any interest (0% APY).

Thanks for the heads up about Quontic lowering its rate. Am starting to think it's a waste of time chasing these 25bps, since it seems most do not maintain their lead.

Brilliant Bank down 20 bps to 4.50% and drops off the list. I think I'll make a new top 10 list during the first week in March if anyone would like me to do that.

New, updated list coming on Tues. 3/4. 3/1 is a Sat. so FI's lowering their rates next month may wait until Mon. 3/3 to do so. If I were to make a Top 10 list today, it would be a top 12, since there are 3 FI's in 10th place tied at 4.55%. Also, it appears that Roger Bank may continue to pay 5% interest to active military and veterans and reduce the rate for everyone else.

Is this comment a personal opinion, or information provided directly from an authoritative source at Citizens Bank of Edmond?

@Bluewire: several people were discussing it at DoC, and one of them wrote that he was told that by a Roger Bank CSR. Scroll down to the comments:

This is the particular comment which I was referring to:

Eric ??
A phone rep told me that they may lower the rate for all but active military and veterans. Which I support.

Something is going on at Patriot Bank, which was offering a 4.76% rate. When you click on the link you receive a 404 Page Not Found notice. The bank is no longer listed at Raisin either.

Patriot has pulled the account for new signups several times in the past.
