Any info on them? https://www.ssbscott.com/cd-special/

All 3 branches get a Five-Star rating from BauerFinancial ;
if that means anything.

Great Customer Service but a bit strange Fed Wire Operations and out of state customers are not eligible for any kind of transactional accounts.
Had to spent hours explaining to External Bank how to send Domestic Wire via Intermediary Bank.
However, Wire went thru, the FDIC Insured account was Funded and Opened.
6 months ago, would not probably be bothered

Last I saw several months ago it had a liquidity ratio less that 15%. That is really risky.

Because the ratings are subjective. They depend on how various metrics are weighted and sometimes they are out of sync using data from different times. And sometimes they are just plain corrupt.
I don't think any of the "grade" ratings are a good way to assess the health of a FI. However, DAs ratings are especially useless. They have always seemed to ignore the obvious flaws in the financials and very often are much higher than the other ratings such as in this case. I have no idea how they calculate them but it is obviously a flawed analysis.
Liquidity is arguably THE most important metric when it comes to evaluating the health of a bank, and in this case, unless something has changed in about the last 6 months, this place is teetering on the liquidity edge.
