Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell directly took on the impact of tariffs Wednesday, saying in no uncertain terms that President Trump's trade agenda would be likely to drive up prices.

And yet he cut rates too soon and is still talking about rate cuts even though he anticipates inflation going higher due to tariffs. You can't say that Trump is causing inflation and then continue to cut rates. Am I the only one seeing this disconnect here?
