We just transferred money from Poppy Bank to My Banking Direct (Flagstar) 2 days ago. We might take a chance on OMB Bank, but I hate jumping through hoops to get a decent APY.

Flagstar bank used to do a lot of mtgs and have gone downhill for the last few years. They used to have good great CD and MM rates when the mtgs were good.
Look at their health rating now. They are no longer a Michigan bank. I banked with them until 2012 when my husband passed.
Read about Flagstar even on Wikipedia. They were based in Michigan. Got into trouble when the economy and mtgs got bad. I believe we started with them in the late 80's or early 90's and banked with them for some high CD and MM rates until my husband passed and I took my name off the accounts as POA days before my husband passed so the kids could inherit them.

Flagstar Financial's current stock price per share is $11.52 as of May 31st 2025...
