4.85% 13-Month CD at a Colorado CU (Elevations).

Elevations Credit Union is offering two certificate specials with a 4.85% APY. The terms are 13 months and 5 months, and the minimum deposit is $10,000. These are also available in an IRA.

The credit union still has its 9% 9-month CD special with a $2K maximum deposit (see post). They are also listing some competitive long term CD rates including a 5.00% APY 60-month CD and some competitive Jumbo CDs with yields of 5.05% APY for a 24-month term and a 5.15% APY for a 60-month term. Credit union membership is open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni association members of the University of Colorado system. Anyone seems eligible to join the Alumni Association of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Membership is $45. Anyone who lives or works in Boulder or Broomfield County is also eligible for credit union membership. There's also a long list of Select Employer Groups. Be sure to check with the credit union to ensure that membership and not employment in an organization qualifies for credit union membership. Credit union membership requires a $25 minimum deposit into a savings account.

Branches are located in Boulder, Longmont and Lafayette, Colorado.

The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 68565). It has $751.8 million in assets and 75,686 members.
