3.60% 12-Month / 3.50% 6-Month CD at a Chicago Bank (Builders Bank)

Update 6/14/08: The CD special has changed. It's now a 3.60% APY 12-month CD and a 3.50% APY 6-month CD. The title has been modified to reflect this change.

Builders Bank is offering a special (pdf) 3.60% APY 9-month CD. The minimum deposit is $2,500. Deposits must be new to the bank.

It appears to require a branch visit. Branches are located in Chicago, Illinois. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1997 (FDIC Certificate # 34613). The bank has a 3.5 star rating (good) at BauerFinancial based on 12/31/07 data.

Other High Certificate of Deposit Rates

In my latest nationwide 9-mo CD rate list, I only have two banks offering a 9-month CD yield higher than 3.60%: a 3.75% APY CD at E-LOAN and a 3.70% APY CD at Imperial Capital Bank. There are a two 4%+ CDs with a 12-month term.
