NexBank is advertising a special 4.28% APY 12-month CD. The minimum deposit is $25,000. It's open to personal, business and non-profit customers. This special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in today's Dallas Morning News. The ad is available online here.

It appears to require a branch visit to open an account. Branches are located in Dallas and Plano, Texas. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1934 (FDIC Certificate # 29209). It has a 3.5 star rating (good) at BauerFinancial based on 3/31/08 data.
