2.25% 12-Month CD & 2.70% 24-Month CD at Equity Bank in Dallas - Available Nationwide

Equity Bank is offering several competitive CD rates. The most competitive rates range from 2.25% APY for a 12-month term to 3.40% APY for a 60-month term. Minimum deposit is $1,000. These CDs are also available in an IRA. Some of the rates listed at the bank's CD page as of 7/30/09 include:

I called the bank this morning, and I was told that they can open accounts by mail for people in any state. The application is available online from the bank's application page. You'll need to send two forms of ID. Please contact the bank for full details. According to the CSR, the CD rate doesn't lock until they receive the check. You can include a note to have them call you if rates drop. At maturity of the CD, wire transfer is an option to receive the funds ($20 fee).
