Wells Fargo is testing a new basic checking account in three states, with plans to extend it to other states after collecting customer feedback. The account aims to consolidate some of the bank’s checking accounts for a more streamlined suite of checking products.The new Wells Fargo Everyday Checking account was launched on Nov. 18 in Arizona, North Carolina and South Carolina under the pilot program.

Probably means they're looking to phase out Way-2-Save...

No matter how they phase it, it is designed to (1) earn more money froma ccountholders, (2) attract more customers to sign up.

Nothing new as far as I see it.  "Test" is another word for "Mysterious Commercial" to attract more visibility and expectation.
