Capital One Checking Rate Cut

Capital One Direct Banking (0 stars) - Details
Capital One cut it's high-yield checking rate to .91 percent from 1.00 percent.  Looks like they are all going down.

Looks like YMMV. I guess Shorebreak is referring to the Direct Banking division's "nationwide" high-yield checking available in states where Capital One doesn't have branches. The new "high-yield free checking," the newly introduced in-branch account, is still at the promotional 1.01% APY in NJ/NY market (rate is current as of 10/20/2011).
