When I visit the bank, it is a great feeling to be able to work with people who really want to help me be the best I can. I feel comfortable with their experience and I am not being constantly sold a product to meet quotas. The atmosphere is very different, there is no staff turnover, to the point where they all love their job and work.
Recently. I went to our local bank 1st National to withdraw some money from my personal checking account. Our bank has a ATM right outside their doors which is normal for most banks but comes in very handy. I accidentally forgot to grab my card after taking my cash and receipt from the ATM. I didn't notice I was missing my debit card until the next day around 4:50. I was able to run over to the bank and ask them if there was anything they can do. Since my bank is part of a small town I was able to get service right away. They were able to print me out a new card within minutes so that I would not be without a debit card for the weekend. The following Monday they gave me a call and let me know that my debit card was in deed in the ATM but for safety measures they would close the card and print me a new card with a new number. They also furnished me with the upgraded debit card for free for the inconvenience even though it was my fault. Banking in a small town has its advantages. They know me personally as well as my family that also bank there. A lot of the employees also live in the small town so they see us or attend school functions for their children as well. We all look out for each other which makes it the best.
