Headquartered in Dearborn, MI, AAA Banking is run by Auto Club Trust, FSB. The bank offers a variety of financial products and services, including the following personal deposit account products: savings accounts, checking accounts, money market accounts, Certificates of Deposit (CDs), and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs).
AAA Banking’s personal checking accounts include interest and non-interest-bearing options. Its money market accounts yield tiered interest rates. CD terms range from 3 months to 10 years. AAA’s IRAs include both Traditional and Roth products, available either as CDs or as an IRA savings account.
In addition to these personal deposit account products, AAA Banking offers loans (personal, home, and auto) and lines of credit. The bank also offers its customers quick, easy, and safe access to funds through online and mobile banking options.
I have had the money market savings for a year and the ratings make up for the inconvenience of not having a local branch. Also, because it is safe.
I give it 4 stars.
Scary experience today. I recently opened a checking account with AAA Online Banking, I received the debit card and was unable to activate or use it. I phoned the number on the back of the card and the Customer Service Reps had zero/NO idea how to assist me, kept referring me to call the EXACT /SAME number for assistance, they did not have a number for customer service. The # listed online in my checking was the SAME #. I was beginning to think it was a scam but knew AAA was a large reputable company. I located my original packet of information and found a second card that was effective as of 3/28/21 with the SAME phone contact numbers... I still DO NOT have a phone number for actual Customer service assistance for banking account questions. I emailed them per my online account...no answer yet. I will be closing this account very soon.
I have already waited more than an hour on my phone to speak to a representative in Dearborn. I find this totally unacceptable. This is not customer service. It is torture. As an overall rating is required, I would put down negative stars. But that is not a choice.
Horrible, avoid. Multiple calls still no access to my funds. 2 weeks of trying to get them to correct the problem. Told I have to wait till next week. Absolutely crazy
My 2-Yr CD matured, I submitted the request to non-renew the CD and transfer the value into my AAA Checking account. 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for my money. I believe this violates FDIC rules and I plan to file a complaint.
I opened my accounts at a branch in Omaha, then they closed all of their branches. I have banked with Bank of America all online, so thought it would be ok. Wrong! Their customer service is horrible. They don't answer their phones. When I went to close my account they would not transfer the funds to another account and mailed the check which I never received for over 2 weeks. I had a car loan with them and they lost my car title! I have been told AAA is an insurance company that has tried to be a bank. Well, they need to get out of banking. Their auto and life insurance products are not good either! Their trips are good - stick with just travel, AAA.
The worst banking experience I ever had was with AAA. It took 2 weeks to receive funds when my CD matured. They will only send a check thru the mail (no electronic deposit.) No return phone calls and no tracking!
absolutely the worst banking experience ever. try to open a deposit account and they will ask for your id and password to your external linked bank account. then they say "trust" us, we won't misuse your id and password. they not only ask for it once, but twice during the opening process. unbelievable! I can't believe this bank has the AAA name on it. It reduces AAA to a joke. a bunch of bungling amateurs at best. if you are smart, you will stay away. this "bank" is as much bizarre as it is awful!
