I am posting this review, because I saw "unbiasedreview"'s comments and they totally contradict how great Ardent Credit Union is. I mean, why belong to a credit union for 20 years, if you think it so awful?! I have been a member since 1994 (over 25 years) and out of the 4 credit unions that I belong to, it is the best one! In fact, I live in a different state and I use it as my primary credit union, because the products and customer service are so superior. I have a KASASA cash-back checking account, which gives me VISA reward points on my debit card, up to $8 cashback each month in my checking account, and up to $25 ATM rebates on foreign ATM use. Also, all their checking accounts are free with no monthly fees. I love that on their 3-month share certificates, they have an affordable $100 minimum so you can sock away money easily. I also like their FLEX certificates which allow you to add as much you want to them at a competitive rate and you can withdraw once no-penalty. I have both a VISA gold and platinum credit card and both have low FIXED APRs. No one does fixed APRs anymore on credit cards, but Ardent does. I love this, as I have had the same APR since 1996 when I first opened my credit cards. Also, when I fell into financial difficulty about five years ago, out of my 4 credit unions, ONLY Ardent was willing to extend me a personal loan, which I am faithfully paying off this month. Only Ardent has been willing to work with me on my credit situation--this is great customer service when you need it. Also, the internal online banking system is very easy to use and has the best interface out of the 4 credit unions that I belong to. Also, Ardent is quick to respond to my emails through the internal system (within 24 hours). There is so much that could I say about how great this credit union is. I am grateful to be able to be a member.
Sb1 is a fantastic credit union that provides a wide range of services for its customers. It has helped me learn how to be a financially independent young adult and enables me to continually manage my finances successfully, providing excellent rates on CDs and mutual funds as well as competitive mortgage rates. They're also great for low-interest loans and wire transfers, and their customer service can't be beat. I've enjoyed interacting with their marketing team on a more regular basis now that they've popped up on Facebook and post insightful articles that keep me up-to-date on the world of finance.
This bank closed my account and stole my money.
Melissa Delquadro blamed me for her bank's anti-customer policies and would not correct this issue.
Do not trust this greedy company.
Shame on Ardent Credit Union.
Been a member for over 20 years - so this review carries some credibility. I have seen this credit union change for the worse over the years. Quite frankly, their policies are unfriendly and they have evolved into a big, impersonal bank like experience. There is a lack of consistency among the poorly trained customer service staff. They outsource their website, their financial transactions, etc ... and you do not save on much like you would expect from a credit union. Their fees are worse than or no different than some big banks. They are unprofessional, immature, and dishonest as well as condescending on the phone. They care more about themselves than their customers. Most of their programs are worse then what you could find at any big bank. I have seen many better credit unions - I highly recommend to put your money somewhere else - this credit union experience is definitely on the decline.
