Membership is open to residents of Arizona who are age 55 and over, all members of the Baptist, Latter-Day Saints, or Catholic religions in Arizona, and Healthcare professionals in Arizona.

I chose this CU by default since it's smaller and nobody really knows about it. I got a loan with them since I know a few individuals in the insurer and I needed privacy of my income. I knew that nobody I knew would handle my application and my income privacy was safe. Well, now I know why nobody I know would EVER work there. The central office manager not only did NOT greet me, she walked into her office, sat down and ignored me. Finally I got up and went into her office to request application process. She was not familiar with it,walked around asking questions, got on the phone to ask, nobody answers her, and then came back to me. I decided to apply over the phone on my own. While I waited, I had the pleasure of gossiping employees about how lazy their mortgage department is. Wonderful. As I left, I had the pleasure of walking out behind these previously discussed individuals who also complained about their workplace. I should have listened to my gut. I ended getting a loan, now a couple years later I find myself in a credit union that accepts shared branching transactions so I can pay this loan off. And guess what? I call for the acct number and I'm told they can't release it over the phone. Even if I give to them and if they can pls verify if it's correct, they still can't do that. So she suggests I log in online. So I do just that, I have not done that since I opened the account so I request that they send me password through the FORGOT PASSWORD option. Im the system says my password has been emailed: great right? Not so much....three hours later...,nothing. So I go into their website and chose the CHAT option with a live representative to help with your password issues: great right? Not so much....I get a window pop up saying I need to be logged in to chat. I called again and they say that nothing can be die unless I go in person. And they have so few branches. What really got to me was her repeated monotone response when discussing my frustrations at lack of accessibility and their technology. It wa obvious she was not listening. Quite honestly, it's apparent that this credit union takes in all the leftovers that other top notch ones have rejected. If only they would try just a bit. They're so behind on technology and customer service. So sad. And I haven't even mentioned how they Knickel and dime you. Ugh
I'll be blunt. This bank sucks. I switched from a commercial bank to what I thought was going to be a better banking experience because I had heard that credit unions treated the customer better. Boy was I ever wrong! Their customer service is the worst. Every time I turn around they're closed because the wind shifted. Getting a real person is next to impossible. They rely heavily on email but your issue only goes into a big black hole somewhere. I thought that by joining this credit union there would be fewer fees. I was wrong on that one, too. They fee you to DEATH. I found out today that I can only write THREE checks per month and after that they CHARGE me a dollar for ever check after. WHY???? Everything I do is compterized and automated. You can't tell me that those two checks that went over my three check limit were any more of a hassle to handle than the three freebies. I scan the check into an ATM and it never touches human hands...why the fee???
I'm tired of being bent over a barrel without any vaseline. I tried numerous times to express my dissatisfaction to customer service and they can't be bothered. What they fail to understand is I am the customer and without ME, THEY DON'T HAVE A JOB! Apparently, my money isn't worth the same as other peoples'. I am taking my $$$ elsewhere.
Oh, and don't go to this bank if you want good customer service and fair practices. You won't find either.
