This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life about banks, I was led to believe that these two banks were the best ones for veterans of the military but in fact, it’s been a complete nightmare. I opened an account 11 days ago I was forced to give my direct deposit to them to open account and a small loan to start off. Well, it has been 11 days of nightmares the first seven of them I was blocked every day except for Saturday and Sunday because they don’t work except for Monday through Friday 8 to 5 I was being blocked because all I was simply doing was trying to transfer money to my other accounts. the customer service employees were extremely nice but facetious they were more worried about phishing and scammers then customer care. I went through security questions to verify my identity for four times straight because every time I tried after they said I was good to go on transfers, but try this try that and each time I would get a different story or outcome on what’s really going on. And then I was told as soon as I get my card in the mail, everything would be great and I would be able to do whatever I wanted, but the accountant my money was locked in there and I didn’t have no means or methods for finances for seven days straight. Once I receive my card, I try to get it verified through their customer service line which they said I didn’t have the authorization and I tried online which they said I didn’t have authorization, and then they tried to explain to me that I had my temporary pin code, with my card to use, which there was no information on there about a pin code, and not another envelope come separate on a different day these past 11 days I’m pretty sure I’ve spent at least 24 hrs dealing with this, but they forced me to put my direct deposit in so I have been scraping change just to get by. I know they are not an accredited bank with the BBB but I don’t understand how they are still functioning unless they are doing some phishing themselves. I would not recommend this bank as a veteran or an active duty member to my worst enemy.

This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. It seems like every couple of days I would have to call them usually to fix their mistakes. I was on the phone no less than a hour each time. Everytime I would call I would be told something different about the same issue or their policies in general how they handle situations all of the above. I filed a dispute they told me it was received and being reviewed. I called several times about status was told I had to wait, 3 months later they tell me we never had a dispute filed WHAT? And now it is to late to file it they denied the dispute because it had been over 60 days. NO I have proof it was filed right away and this was a big amount too. The company that took my money is a scam so they stole my money and the bank plays games so the scammer wins. One of the many problems I called about was my Business bank card It never worked wouldn’t let me set up my pin or work in atm. After months and months of calling and ordering new cards (15 new cards) waiting for new one to come to find out it didn’t work either someone at the bank figures out that they had the wrong code in so it would never work he fixed it and wow problem solved. I finally get everything working correctly then I get a notice they are closing my accounts and won’t tell my why and no one at the bank knows why either. Because they are incompetent they close my account. Like I said worst bank ever! And there is more too but I am out!

If I can give this bank a zero I would closing my account ASAP horrible unknowledgeable people they hire anybody to work there just STUPID!!!

My Personal Experience With Armed Forces Bank

Armed forces bank (AFB) is the worse bank I have ever banked with. And I'm not saying this to bash the bank There are many many reasons why I feel this way. First off my bank account had been hit with fraud 2 times in less than 2 months and they took all of my money everything and more they left me -300+ in my bank account both times. I called AFB and talk to them I went one by one transaction by transaction and told them what was mine and what wasn't. And they said they would take it and review it. They denied both of my claims with no reasoning not to mention they didn't even tell me it was denied I had to call them. One of the 3 times I called and had an agent hang up in my face when I asked "why was my claim denied" and the only other responses I got was "sorry i I don't know why you claim was denied" how the heck can you deny a claim and not tell me why or even notify me that the claim is denied. And maybe I would have picked up on the fact that money was being taken out of my account if I was notified when my account was over drafted but I didn't receive an email saying it was overdrafted until it was over drafted for 8 days. Then I had to get a loan to recover from it and I only got what I need which means that my account is on its last couple of dollars and they still take the money out of my account leaving me negative and charging me an overdraft fee which put me back in square 1. another thing that this bank does it take out random fees and charges and when out call to ask somebody about it the don't know what it is why it got taken out. We all work too hard for our money to just be taken away with nokind of explanation what so ever.... when I get my taxes I will pay off this loan and I'm switching my bank immediately. I don't recommend this bank to anybody. Nobody all it's the fastest way to get strewed over when you get paid not even knowing it. If I were to recommend any bank I'd recommend USAA for all service members and their family. I know it was long and I hope it was helpful. I only wrote this for you because I didn't have anyone write it for me and now I'm paying for it. Don't use this bank it's not worth it.
