Credit Union Banking is the best!
Banking at AGCU had been nothing but pleasant and efficient. I have banked there for 20 plus years and each and every product whether it be checking/saving or personal or auto loan or a mortgage they have walked me threw each step of the way. I love my bank and have no chance of changing even if I were to move out of the state.
Great Home Town Service
This is a great place to bank. They are consistently kind and friendly and accurate. I love going in because it is kinda like the Cheers song "Everybody knows your name" . I have had use many of their products/programs such as car loan and mortgages. The process to apply for items has been quick and easy. I love my bank
Credit Union Review
Overall, my experiences with the Credit Union have been positive. I initially started banking there because my parents had account there when I was in high school. It's an Assemblies of God affiliated credit union and my dad is a preacher. My only minor quibbles are the locations and bank hours. There are only two branches, which can be frustrating because I have to drive a ways to get there. Also, only one of them is open on Saturdays and only in the morning, which is annoying when I need to go on Saturdays. The tellers are very nice and remember customer names, which is fairly impressive. The other issue I have is with the website. I have had a difficult time and been unable to do some things other banks, I know, allow customers to do easily like deposit checks online. As far as interest rates and such, I'm not really sure what they are since I rarely have enough money for it to make a difference.
AGCU
I have banked with AGCU for close to twenty years. It's a Christian credit union and when I first started banking with them I was 18 and did so because my parents banked there and recommended it. I've stayed primarily out of convenience since then. It has always been a decent experience for me. The interest rate and overdraft fees in case of mistake are reasonable to me. The tellers are nice and always remember my name when I come through the drive thru. My biggest issues with the bank are the hours and locations. The bank only has two locations and the one that is close to my house in not open on Saturdays, so when I need to go on Saturdays I have to drive across town. When I needed to open a business checking account for my business, I chose to open with a traditional bank: Great Southern due to the variety of locations and hours.
