Great Credit Union

Very convienent as far as
Shared branching and co op ATM deposits and transactions. Easy to function mobile app banking . small staff and only two branches so it's easy to be recognized by tellers and member services and they catch fraud very quickly. Great credit union.!!

Very friendly but outdated

They are always very friendly when I go in to bank with them. However, their website looks like it was made in the 90s. They also charge fees for many ATMs and accounts, which I feel makes them less competitive than some larger banks. I keep an account open with them because I like them and want to stay loyal, and I really appreciate their Christmas Accounts! I also have to keep an account with a larger bank so that I do not get charged an arm and a leg for ATM fees. I would recommend them for savings (although interest isn't very high) and Christmas accounts!

Ball State Fed CR Union

I've been a member of this credit union since I was a student at Ball State back in the 1980 and I've had a checking account and savings account there for many years.
I've been very happy with the customer service I've received, for example I forgot to transfer some money into my account and bounced a check one time. I called them and explained my issue and they looked at my account, realized I'd never done anything like that before and waived the NSF fees.

Additional Factors: Institutions with a small asset base, a short operating history, or negative return on assets can represent an instability risk beyond what their financial ratios indicate. Ball State Federal Credit Union has a relatively low asset base.
