So far its ok, The debit cards are extreamly ugly and look like something that went out of date in the 50's. The online account is not working, however they have been very helpful and fast at responding to me and it should be fixed soon. I get a 1.25% intrest on my checking account, my old bank would not even do that for a 6 year CD. So for the intreset I will let that slide.
As for the credit pull, There is no "soft" credit pull, if any company pulls your credit it is a hard hit. You can't blam a company for your ignorance on the subject of how credit works.
I have had a good experience with FCFCU.... so far.
I like their interest rate and convince.
The folks at the Fort office have been very helpful.
I paid my mothers mortgage payment for years as she was unable to care for herself and her affairs. the financial Center knew that I was paying the mortgage. She passed away in March 2021 and the bank continued to accept my payments up until October 2021. They told me they could not accept the payments but did not explain why. Within that same month they sent me forclosure papers and said we were behind in payments which was a bald faced lie. They then sent me a statement showing all the payments we made from the date of her death which was March until October were reversed and put into some type of account. They refuse to comunicate with us. Beware
I had to call several times and stay on hold for 10 minutes each time just to get access to my account online. Some reps have helped, and others gave me information that did not work.
Their site is real retro, which makes it hard to navigate and do what I want. I have to pay fees in order to make a simple payment on my car loan. It cost $10 to pay over the phone or $2 for an online payment. I am trying to pay off my loan early, because they are a nightmare to deal with and I just discovered the maximum that you can pay at a time is $1,000 - what a great way for them to charge more fees!
Stole several hundreds of dollars from us in false NSF fees due to branch personnel mistakes. Failed transfer, held funds, horrible customer service.
Lied to by every single rep on the phone and in the branches. Took months to correct the smallest error, and they made ZERO record of it. SO when the same thing happened, I was called a liar because they made no record. I hear nothing but horror stories from using this joke of a Credit Union.
I could not close this account faster. The other reviewer hit the nail on the head; Peice of garbage establishment.
I went into this branch on 56th street and the service is horrible. The rude tellers and unfriendly staff made me to never go back. i closed my account and stay away from this credit union. It's not worth it!!
This credit union is a Piece of sh*t. They will also do a hard credit pull on you and lie to you saying it's a soft pull when in fact it's not. I filled a complaint against them for their piss poor customer service. I would avoid this place like the plague.
