I have just finalized my second loan with CECU, the first one was for Geo Thermal and the last one for a PHEV.
The first loan experience was amazing, the terms were great and they provided sound recommendations on payment strategy for tax rebates.
The second loan experience was initially phenomenal , then due to various reasons the application process was starting to go sour.
However CECU focus on the customer and honoring agreements really shone through and we managed to move forward with the loan. I really see CECU as my renewable finance partner and I will hopefully be working with
them on my upcoming solar project and leveraging some of their other Savings products. Hopefully they can expand their solutions/offering to be more Web/Mobile - but I am sure that this will come.
Not many stars on this one. My login was suspended, without notice. When I tried to login I found that my user id and password no longer worked. It did not recognize my user id. I had to call and the solution was an email where I had to setup my account again. The new user id password worked once, and then I was locked out. I'm thinking of switching my loan. It is still accpting my auto payments but I can't make any manual payments.
To say the least, their website could use a lot of work.
I had a couple of questions about their checking account, so attempted to get in touch. That did not work at all.
No one acknowledged any of my contact attempts over a period of SIX WEEKS. I sent them a message using the form on their website. I sent them two e-mails as well. I even tried to use the chat function on the website. The result was the same: no acknowledgement, let alone a response.
This made me sad; I like to bank with ethical institutions and I thought I had found a CU that looked nice for day-to-day banking. It is probably a good idea to steer clear of them.
