Very happy with Cyprus. I have always had a great experience. Helpful friendly staff, low fees. Feel like they care and take the time to make their customers feel valued. Have bent over backwards to help with any issues I have run into.
I have always loved Cyprus Credit Union since being a member from a year ago. I have many accounts with them but I mainly use it for there checking account. I love the fact that the money I deposit goes directly in and they don't have to hold checks for days before clearing it, so I can get my money faster to use for when I please. I also love that there are no fees associated with the account. They will hook it to your savings account if needed that way if you ever overdraft your account, it will be used out of that first and won't be a problem. They also send you a text asap if they notice anything suspicious on your account that way you always know what is going on. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for checking accounts.
I used Cyprus when I was in college mostly because it worked out that they had a branch close to where I was living at the time. The customer service reps at the building were always fair and nice. Since it was a smaller credit union, I did notice some personal touches which were appreciated by me as a consumer. Their facilities were also always clean and professional. Those are the pluses, but there are some things I would change. For starters, the online experience is a bit clumsy and doesn't have the slick look that many other bigger companies have. In addition, it seems like some of the interest rates I was offered simply weren't competitive as well which was a downer. In the end, I had to go somewhere that had more services.
I have had to call numerous times about my Ins. coverage on my RV loan. I had my Ins. info declaration page (American Family Ins.) faxed to Cyprus on 8/10/22 and the office person stated that the fax was confirmed. I received another letter from Cyprus stating that I would be charged $60 for Ins. from them. I called again on 8/24/22 and talked to a representative and she stated that my declaration page verification was received in their office on 8/17/22 and she would update my information on my account. I have now received another letter 8/26/22 stating that I have been charged $60 for Ins. on my RV Trailer. I have called again today 9/6/22 and the representative states that there is no info on any updated Ins. and that I need to have my Ins. provider fax them. I am way beyond being mad, pissed off, frustrated or annoyed. Cyprus Credit Union is a business that is clearly unprofessional in the way they conduct their business. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH CYPRUS CREDIT UNION BECAUSE THEY HAVE UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS ETHICS AND PRACTICES!!!! Find another Credit Union but do not do any business with them and let your family and friends known the same.
Do not bank with Cyprus. They have terrible communication and closed my accounts without notice. They do not care about you and your individual needs. Don't waste your time. Go somewhere that they care about you and your family's future.
