This is a great CU - the CD specials they have been running are very competitive. But I've also noticed that they provide great service and have a lot of other products available (including retirement planning and insurance).
The ACH limit for new accounts is $ 50,000 for funding from an EXTERNAL bank account. Understand that their limit for an ACH for an established account holder is $250,000. but NOT on the initial account funding.
If you wish to open a CD-Certificate of Deposit for any amount over $50,000 up to FDIC/NCUA insurance limit of $250,000 individual/ $500,000 joint you should open a share savings account only initially ($5.00 minimum) and DO NOT click on any other financial product(s) for a CD (12 month, 18 month, etc) if your intention is to deposit more than thE $50,000 limit because the system will not allow you to finish the application. You will get caught up in their system as I did. I simply closed the web page and I will start the application another time. The CD minimum is $ 500 with max $50,000 allowed on new application for funding via ACH from your external bank account, hence, the forewarning.
Absolutely stay away from their rising rate accounts. They dont rise they only create new rising rate accounts.
