ESL is a great credit union that is constantly adapting to keep up with the latest banking technologies.
I have been banking with ESL for about two years. I switched from one of the large national banks after going through a divorce. It was the first account I had opened "all by myself" in my lifetime. They were wonderful. They explained every detail, and their service was quick and accurate. They also helped me open up accounts for my children and teach them how to use them. I wish I would have known the difference in using a smaller credit union, over the big box bank, maybe years sooner. They are wonderful.
I opened my accounts when I was 15 and now I am 26. At first I opened a checking account for my first job. It was amazing it was a quick process and never ran into trouble. Two years ago I also, opened a savings account when I started a new job. Setting up direct deposit for the first time was a breeze they took care of it all. They also offered a promotion of one hundred dollars if it was your first time setting this up. When I went into the bank to set up my new account they told me more about the account and I was amazed. They have a mobile app that is very easy to navigate and makes it easy for me to check my accounts. Also, they have very minimal fees which is amazing. I have overdraft coverage so if my balance drops below they automatically move money from my savings to checking to avoid an overdraft.
Best in the Rochester Area. Excellent Customer service also available by phone in early evening. They don't charge unnecessary fees. I had children bounce checks and they forgave them the fees. They also share some profits with the customer based on total interest you paid on Mortages and Loans.
