Best Rate In The County
The Rewards Checking Account pays 3.01% apr up to $15,000 (minimun is 0.05; & no fees - woot! I'm able to avoid all fees at FAST; this account even gives you ATM fees back when charged by other banks).
If you are like me: you view your account online (no paper/, also safer), have at least 1 automatic deposit (paycheck), or withdrawal (gym, utilities), & use your debit card to buy things...then why not get the best interest rate?
When I call, I talk to a person vs. a machine. Most are kind.
Only negative is sometimes you have to go up the ladder because an employee may not know how an account works (needs more training on products & services; & needs to take some initiative, which some do... lots of turnover, as expected in this type of job).
I prefer Mobile site over App. There's more functionality for when paying bills.
