Opened a savings and checking account recently and had a very good experience. I was greeted with a warm welcome when I first came in and was helped very quickly, I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes. Fortunately they were not very busy when I went. I was able to open both accounts and set up direct deposit within a reasonable amount of time and was in and out of there within about 45 minutes. The hours aren't great but it is in a very convenient location for me and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The location was very clean and neat. I would definitely recommend them for someone looking for a credit union.
I've been a customer for 7 years and I noticed they are using old tech and never update their systems. When something goes through, they don't notify you and when you try to get something done, they aren't nice about it.
The worst thing is the stupid NSF retry fees on accounts without overdraft protection. They use the excuse that it's a debit or credit card payment so they just simply can't do a refund. You have to dispute every single charge to get a refund despite not being notified of these charges. They don't seem to understand the idea of a class action lawsuit regarding this incredibly unethical way to purge their customers' accounts.
They also don't seem to care about keeping long time customers. If you look at reviews on Yelp and Google, their responses are full of excuses. I also heard one lady griping out a full grown adult for using a naughty word when the man had every right to be angry. Overall bad attitudes, condescension, and lack of responsibility.
