The customer service at this great credit union is absolutely outstanding, with top notch online banking services, low fees, atm, checking, savings, investment accounts also. They have great interest rates and easy and professional staff. They also offer car loans, home loans, and every service that you could possibly think need to meet your family's financial service needs! Plus...it's Geico. They are a top rated insurance company so why wouldn't you want to bank with them! They have branches located in many US states.
I have been a member for over 25 years. About 7 years ago, I opened a checking account. At the time I was working so I opted for direct deposit.When I left my employment 2 years ago, I opted to keep my accounts there. I love the customer service. The employees are always friendly and helpful. It feels more like a family than a customer/client relationship. Their services overall are competitive with other credit unions and they have better rates and fees than most banks. Their hours are a little different as they are open most bank holidays except the major ones but they are closed on Saturday and have no late hours. Their debit card is accepted at more ATM's than any other financial institution I know of so I rarely have to pay any fee. The only two drawbacks are that they do not have mobile banking (yet), so in order to make a deposit I have to either find an ATM that is capable of doing it or I have to travel to the credit union itself. Since they are only located inside the company offices, this will mean I will most likely leave them once I move too far away to conveniently travel to a physical office. I also wish they would accept direct deposit from institutions other than the company as it makes it very difficult when I am trying to transfer money from other places. Overall, I love the credit union and have not felt that the small inconveniences are enough to make me leave them just yet.
If I could give 0 stars I would. They NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE!!!!! MY CARD EXPIRED. THEY SENT A NEW ONE. PIN CODE WAS SUPPOSE TO COME IN A SEPARATE ENVELOPE BUT NEVER DID! SO THEY HAVE MY MONEY, I CAN NOT ACCESS IT AND THEY DO NOT ANSWER. AS SOON AS I AM ABLE TO. I WILL WITHDRAW EVER RED CENT AND NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. FOR ANY FUTURE ACCOUNT HOLDERS. RUN, RUN VERY FAR AWAY TO ANOTHER BANK.
This bank was the worst thing to have during a pandemic. You have a debit max of 1000 a day I couldnt go to the actual bank because they were closed. I couldnt even call bc no one was there to answer the phone. I almost lost my house bc I couldn't pay rent bc I cant get a money order out bc I couldnt request the money out once again I couldnt get a cashiers check bc no one was there. Safe to say I'm switching banks when they reopen! Terrible customer service!
If I could give a zero overall rating I would!!! First my direct deposit keeps getting delayed due to "posting delays" (that has happened three times). Now I authorized a payment to be withdrew from my account ($800) and they withdrew it TWICE. Finally got someone on the phone and they admitted that it was an ACH matter and that it should be returned between 2 and 3 p.m. that day BUT it has been three days and still no money has been returned to my account. No one will answer the phone either at the main location or the branch in this area. I have emailed also - no response. I have already opened an account at another bank because this bank STINKS!!!!
I requested a new card on 1/12/2017, I just got it yesterday 2/6/2017 & I haven't received the PIN that's supposed to come with it to activate the card to use it!! so I still can't touch my money!!!! I haven't touch my money since we got paid on 1/25/2017!! I'm late with my rent, my phone just got turned off TODAY & this is with the extension I was given b/c I didn't have my card!! I barely got enough gas to get to work!! IM SO MAD RIGHT NOW!!!! I just got off the phone with USAA, I'm going back home to them! & we get paid tomorrow & I have no access!!! THE WORLD'S MOST HORRIBLE BANK!!!
No one picks up the phone when you call & when you think someone picks up, it hangs up on you, I even submitted a request thurough their website, no response, I don't understand why you can't pick out your own PIN & you have to go to the ATM to activate its so 1980's!!
I have never experienced such bad customer service. They can't solve your problems if you're not at the branch. Their phone rings and rings. No one answers. If you need a more flexible bank that you're able to reach when you're not available to walk-in, do not go with GFCU. They will mess you up from sending something as simple as A DEBIT CARD (it's been a month and I'm still awaiting mine). I will be getting a cashiers check, extracting all of my monies and closing the accounts. They have pissed me off!
This branch phone service is horrible especially if you're trying to speak with someone for assistance. Don't get me wrong the teller service is actually good but the customer service line definitely needs improvement.
