After a pretty chronically terrible time with Citizens Bank, I opened a checking account with my local Glens Falls National. The difference between the two has been night and day, the customer service is so friendly -- I've always been promptly helped when I've needed account information changed or notary services -- and I don't think I've experienced a single unexpected or frustrating fee in the years I've banked with them. Their website and mobile app are relatively new, and were a little inconvenient at first, but now have all the functionality I desire. I've had a couple fraudulent charges post to my account in the past that were quickly taken care of for me, and their security features have been satisfactory, with them always reaching out if there's an off-seeming charge. I'm happy with this bank, and I don't foresee myself taking my business elsewhere as long as I remain in the area.
