Service Is Become Similiar To "Big Banks"

Posted by: moyo30 | May 26, 2012

I have been with this credit union for over 15 years. The credit union's service was 5 star and now since it has the opportunity to recruit business from the "big banks"  now I receive similar treatment that caused me to move my money from the "big banks" to a credit union. For instance, in the 15 plus years as a customer I have been married, divorced and remarried- the credit union has allowed me to deposit -not cash- a check with my maiden name and former married name. The checks always had the same address I have had for close to 10 years and the bank has a copy of my divorce decree and marriage license on their computer by the way- the service person opened the file with images of both while I was standing in front of him. I never had a problem until recently. I make six figures a year but when I deposit -not cash- a check for $800 dollars from a rental, I am given a hard time and a lecture by some male idiot about changing my name with every soul I have come in contact with since my birth - yeah- because it is just that easy.  By the way within the last year or so ---these clowns started charging members a $5.00 monthly fee for "not" using there on line bill service -5 transaction per month. WHAT??? Well, the credit union will mail you bill via "snail mail" if the business is not listed with them electronically. So, I feel no regret for keeping my savings with an internet bank for over 7 years and will  move my checking account there as well.

Additional Factors: Institutions with a small asset base, a short operating history, or negative return on assets can represent an instability risk beyond what their financial ratios indicate. On The Grid Financial has a low asset base.
