Great local credit union
I started banking here when I obtained my auto loan from them. I liked the customer service I received so I decided to open up a checking account. This isn't my primary bank, however I like to use them when I can so I can support a local business. Their rates are reasonable, and they pay interest on checking accounts unlike the majority of non-credit union financial institutions. The majority of the time I withdraw cash at the drive thru, however they do offer a debit card for added convenience that I use on occasion. My interacts are friendly and usually quick. All in all I enjoy banking here, and I'm happy to be contributing to an organization that benefits its members.
Community financial institution
I have banked with this institution for a few years. I started out getting an auto loan through them since the apr was so low. Then I liked how they treated their customers so I opened up a checking account with them. I like knowing that my contribution to the business' bottom line is also helping me, since as a member I am also an 'owner' of sorts. They fees are really low and I like not having to pay someone to hold my money. I don't like that they are behind technology-wise, and sometimes transactions take some time to reflect on my account. I am good at keeping track of my balance so this doesn't really bother me. I like knowing that they are looking out for me and they know me well enough that they would tell me if something suspicious pops up on my account. I enjoy the hometown feel of the business.
