I have used several banks overall but this one has the majority of my accounts and money. I've been blessed with not having very many negative things to say other than when I was mistaken for my brother and they deposited my paycheck into his account. It was quickly reconciled with no problems. The bank is a large building by our town standards but it is relatively open inside with few offices. The wait to talk to someone can be a bit tedious sometimes but they are usually pretty quick to get back to a message let for them. I don't go in there anymore to cash checks because of direct deposit, but when I did I was known by my face. A nice local bank for a smaller town. They offer a variety of different checking account savings accounts for both personal and business use. With easy drive through access and friendly staff.
I have been banking with Heritage Bank since 2005 and I've never had a dissatisfactory experience. There is a local office in my hometown and the bank also has online banking. Transferring funds between accounts is easy and secure. Any interaction I've ever had with a representative from the bank has always been satisfactory and pleasant. Last year I applied for a car loan the the loan officer was up front and honest in telling me that because of limited credit that I would probably get a better loan through the car dealership. I really appreciated his honesty and helpfulness as that was the first time i ever applied for a loan. Earlier this year I overdrafted my account twice. I called and spoke with a representative and they were kind enough to waive one of the two overdraft fees, which they certainly didn't have to do. I was also in the actual bank a month ago to open a HSA account. While waiting for the representative that handles those accounts, there were several other employees that saw me waiting and stopped to make sure I had been helped. Their friendliness and customer service is phenomenal. I will probably bank for life at this bank. I'm not sure how their general services and fees are compared to other banks but based on the customer service they have shown me I'll be there for life.
