Hope CU offers the worst banking experience. Customer service is horrid.
Here are some examples of my experience. Upon account startup, the branch staff (including branch manager) couldn't accurately tell me my full account number for check ordering. Apparently the checks I ordered didn't correctly reflect my account number. Every piece of correspondence I received "masked" my full account number.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is severely lacking. Not necessarily rude, but no way representing a helpful and positive attitude. Very cold and insincere.
ATM's and networks are unreliable and often off-line.
I'm preparing to close my account because the interest paid on the checking account is just not worth this experience - even when I rarely use the physical services.
Very bad attitudes in the branches and over the phone.
No access to customer service. over the weekend. Drive throgh service is horrible at certain locations.(All)
No means of wanting to help the customer unless you already have money and good credit. Managers do not give helpful advice and I felt very uncomfortable a d the manager had no remorse.
No bathroom for customers.
Hope Credit Union should be ashamed of themselves they are robbing from the poor if you get the overdraft protection on your account and don't have the money to cover it once you reached your max limit they will still charge you $25 and still will not pay whatever is trying to come out your account I would not recommend this bank to my worst enemy Hope Credit Union you suck... Robinhood Credit Union is your new name..
First, every single, "Online Banking," account I have ever had with these,"People," has been hacked into, resulting in countless calls to their, "Customer Service," department, which is horrendous on a GOOD day. Second, somebody on THEIR network sold my identity to a Magazine Subscription Company a MONTH after I joined. Third, they swapped a PAID Kasasa Cash account over to a FREE Hope Rewards checking account... Fourth, for SOME REASON, their,"Statements," seem to like to write up,"Atm Withdrawals," as,"In Store Purchases," for some heinous reason, and last but not least, I have spoken to the same employee for the last 6-7 months, who has provided me with fake passwords, will not delete any online banking accounts, and for some reason, likes to delete transactions. Through with putting money through this BANK filled with Horrible Actors.
If you joined with a Kasasa Paid Account, and were not notified of the swap to the,"Free Hope Rewards Checking Account," please, look up the number for BancVue Of Austin, Texas, as they own Kasasa. Speak to a representative and complain. Hope had 60 days to send out written notifications BEFORE swapping people out.
If you can, leave and go elsewhere for your business. Do NOT trust these people.
This is definitely the worst credit union/bank that I've ever encountered. Nasty customer service; no communication what's so ever; never respond to emails or inquiries either through their own website or just regular email boxes. For no reason at all, every month there are days that my debit card would deny any charges, be it online or physical swipe in the store. I've been tolerate of these for the last two years but the recent event is the last straw for me. They denied my July high interest and claimed that I only made 11 debit card transactions instead of the required 12. When I called them and went through each of my 13 transactions, I learned that they changed the qualification cycle by one day so 2 of my transactions were not counted. But the thing is that I've never received any mail or email notification of such change from them, so how in the world I would have known this. I asked them for one time courtesy waive because of the special circumstance and also because it was only one day difference but they still refused to make an adjustment. The entire experience was a total insult to me and my intelligence for thinking that this credit union can be reasoned with or worth doing business with!
