I was able to join and get a 15 month CD at 5.30%. Online application was a lot easier than most credit unions. Application was first rejected when including my wife so I tried again leaving her off and it was approved. The terms are growing shorter and rate getting smaller.
Started my Jovia relationship a little disappointed unaware the online account had a limit of six withdrawals per month and would soon implement a fee for transactions involving live tellers. My concerns were immediately addressed by the credit union with a sincere desire for customer satisfaction.
I opened online high yield savings accounts about a year and a half ago. At the time the 5% rate was very competitive, however now that is not the case. I noticed I was charged two $25 fees for withdrawing from my accounts at a shared credit union, and when I called and asked, I was told "its because I am a digital member, and they charge $25 for every transaction that I could have done on my own" I find it ridiculous that they have the nerve to charge me fees for withdrawing cash from my account, especially because I withdrew it at a different bank and Jovia didn't even provide me personal assistance. I tried closing the accounts online with their chatbot (like they wanted me to), but then the chatbot would not allow me to and said I had to speak with a representative for it. Then I call again and am told its another $25 to close the accounts because speaking with someone over the phone is considered "personal assistance". I went to a branch and was told the same thing, but the staff was kind enough to waive it for me. I would rather open accounts with a lower rate elsewhere than deal with Jovia and their nonsense policies.
I tried to apply for membership multiple times during a CD promotional period and was denied every time with no explanation other than "failed online verification." I reached out to Customer Service on each occasion and was told something else to try. Nothing worked. I was finally told the "back office" would review the issue and I would hear back. Nothing. Then the promotional rate was discontinued. I've never had a similar issue elsewhere.

Jovia Financial added a $3,500 penalty to my auto loan because of a lapse in insurance coverage for 3 months.
I have an auto loan with Jovia and have been making payments on time every month. My auto insurance carrier (State Auto) was acquired by Liberty Mutual and when they migrated my policy over there was an error and the policy lapsed for 3 months before I found out and got a new policy. Jovia added a penalty of $3,500 to the balance of my auto loan and increased my monthly payments. I didn't find out about this until I got a call from Jovia collections and my credit report was hit with a late payment for being 30 days past due despite making monthly payments on time for the amount on the loan agreement.
The monthly auto insurance payment for both of my cars is $300 total, and the penalty Jovia is charging for insurance coverage on only one car is $3,500 for three months, $1,167 per month for insurance on one vehicle.
I've been in touch with Jovia attempting to get a resolution on this but at this point they've said they'll do nothing to help. My credit rating has dropped significantly as a results of the negative report.
So i made an order from a company and never received my product, NOR TRACKING AND SHIPPING information even though i paid for route protection. I contacted my bank JOVIA and they couldn’t get me any results?! I was told according to visa’s criteria that the action is not fraudulent( when i asked of visa’s policy i was told i don’t know by the person quoting it). After 90 days of calling them for a resolution (even though i was told 60 days) JOVIA was only able to provide me with the SAME receipt i provided them of sale, but theirs came from the company. So the company got my money and NEVER sent my merchandise but my bank couldn’t help me stop payment? If you want to be screwed and jerked bank with JOVIA. The saddest part is i spoke to the corporate representative and even though he agreed the transaction was wrong i was simply told since the dispute is closed we cannot get shipping information? So when did you help the client who disputed it?
