Glad To Be A Member

I have been a member of NWPCU since 1990. All of my local family have active accounts here as well. NWPCU is my first go to place for all of my financial needs. I appreciate all that they do!

Couldn't Be Happier

They have a financial advisor!!! I couldn't be happier. Their rates are actually surprisingly low for Portland, possibly some of the lowest around (even though rates are pretty bad right now.) Got my mortgage from here and they do a mortgage free in 12 years product, which is just wonderful. I also take advantage of their EZ cash loan, which happens every year. Very friendly staff and they have quite a few locations for how tiny they are. Great for Postal workers and the military too. I think they are TriMet's credit union as well. A great Portland business overall. Would recommend!

Supports Our Troops And That Matters

Posted by: |

I came in a few days ago looking for some options with my savings for higher returns. The young lady that helped me not only gave me some helpful suggestions, but also referred me to the financial advisor there. I ended up setting up a ROTH IRA with an amazing rate. I was with chase last year and they would have never helped me like this. NWPCU makes me feel like family. They are also military friendly, and I've seen employees volunteer at the Air Base and elsewhere. Support our troops!

Thanks, NW Priority!

NW Priority Credit Union Works

My membership with NWPCU started in 1996 when I was 2 yrs old (thanks to my Mom).

Since then, this has always been my primary financial institution and always will be. Since I began my account here, I have saved money in their Christmas Club Account which earns more interest. I also have two savings accounts, a visa credit card and line of credit. In the future, I also plan to finance any cars I buy--as well as my first home (someday).

The tellers are always patient even with difficult transactions. They always take the time to contact specialists within the CU if they don't know the answer so that they can find the correct answer for you. The CEO is incredibly personable and is seen talking with members on a daily basis. In the small branches especially, members are often known by name rather than number which gives a "family" feel to the environment of NWPCU.

In addition, I was pleased when I was contacted by the VP of lending who personally lifted the limit of my credit card without me having to apply to do so.

I am also immensely grateful for the two scholarships I received in college from NWPCU in their annual essay-writing contest which awards high school and college students $1,000 in scholarship funds.

NWPCU has also shown a great amount of member service when they recently disclosed a new fee about statements. Once they received feedback that members did not agree with this fee, I received a 2nd newsletter that let me know this fee would not be implemented due to feedback.

This is a credit union that LISTENS & CARES about its members. In a time where banks make billions and credit unions get larger and larger, NWPCU has stayed to its roots and I'm proud to be a member of theirs.

Love My Credit Union!

Great staff, great rates, great locations, great credit union. I've been with another credit union for years and with NWPCU for only a short time, but I already feel like I'm part of a family. It's normal to turn to the banks for your financial need, but intelligent to turn to a credit union; I can safely say I've made the right choice by turning to NW Priority.

Crazy Fees

I dont understand why nw priority credit union is taking too much fees ,i am very disappointed how they ripped me off of my hard earned money , i thought they are there to help you but i am wrong , ok i made a mistake i was overdrawn by 4$ dollars ,so they took 35 $ fee , but here is where its really messed up , they block your card and once you deposit the money they charge you a reinstatement fee of 35$ , this is crazy , you guys have already charged 35$ for the overdrawn and now you charge another 35$ for reinstating my debit card , thats 70$ in fees for a 4$ overdrawn . this is outrageous and i have never had a bank rip me off like this , credit union are here to help you !!! wells fargo has never done anything like this , i have unitus credit union they have never done anything like this , wow !!!!.i am really sorry but thats a total scam
