I have been a member of One AZ Credit Union for 6 years. I am very happy with this bank/credit union. To me it is a bank; I can do anything that one does in a bank but it is called a credit union. They have checking account for free. With the exception of the savings account. All you need is $5.00 to open it and that's it, but the checking account you don't need any money and or fees. You are not charge for using your debit catd either and they have online banking. You can download their app too. The staff from the branch locations and the customer call center are both very professional and helpful to its customers. I have gone overdraft a few times and they have forgiving me the overdraft fee, which is $35. I did not have to pay it. But ofcouse it depends on the situation and circumstances for them to override an overdraft fee. Over all I am highly satisfied with my credit union: One AZ Credit union.

One AZ Credit Union

Before we moved out of Arizona my husband and I banked with OneAZ credit union for about 8 years. One of my favorite things about them is that they do not charge you a fee to have a savings or a checking account with them. One thing I liked about them was that the website in particular was very clear and easy to use to do online bill pay and banking as well as research loan options and such. I also really liked the fast service that I would receive anytime I physically went to one of their locations. The building was always clean and every person I dealt with seems competent and well suited for their jobs. Their loan officers were willing and able to help assist me anytime I needed information about a home loan or refinancing a car loan. They were able to explain all of the requirements and the way the loans worked in everyday language to me so that I could understand all aspects of the loan. I felt confident with my financial decisions went they took the time to help me decide what was best for me. I also used their 'line of credit' or 'overdraft portection' which I really liked because if I ever forgot to transfer money from my savings to my checking the overdraft would kick in and keep my checks from bouncing. When I first started using this it was free as long as I repaid the borrowed money before it collected interest, but by the time we moved out of state they had begun charging I think five dollars each time it was used and I really didn't like that extra fee at all. The best thing about this bank was that they would call right away if they thought someone might be using my debit card and if it was infact being used by someone other than me they would freeze the card and refund my money with no questions asked and no unnecessary hassle. Over all I really like the bank and if I ever move back to AZ I would probably bank with them again.

12 years with OneAZ (formerly AZSTCU)

I have been banking with One AZ Credit Union for twelve years, since I first met my husband. Overall, they are a pretty good credit union. I wish there were more locations closer to my home. The majority of the issues I've had with them have been online. It is very difficult to use their deposit-at-home service through their app or online. On at least three or four occasions, after successfully depositing a check or money order, they deducted the balance from my account in the morning, requiring me to go to the branch, show them the check, and deposit it in person. I think that completely defeats the purpose.
Other than that, the staff is generally friendly, but sometimes the wait is long, and half the time, only half of the tellers are calling up customers. If it wasn't such a hassle to move my accounts, I'd probably look elsewhere for banking.

Home Equity Loan

I opened up a checking and savings account in Flagstaff location on 2/18/22 and received excellent service form Eric Wong. I have moved most of my money from Bank of America because I wanted to work with a smaller, local bank. I applied for a home equity loan at the Happy Valley branch on 2/22/22. I have top tier credit. I was told that It would take 6-8 weeks to process loan. As of today it has been 8 weeks with no end in sight... During the waiting period, I have received poor service and communication for the banking representatives. I was assigned to a new employee, who knows very little about loans and rarely has answers for basic questions. All of the information that I wrote down on my application was apparently ignored because after a month went by, they asked me the same questions. I have requested to speak to the bank supervisor several different times and have never got a call back from them. I have called the corporate office and request to speak to a supervisor and they promise to call me back, but I have never gotten a call back, Today I called my local representative, Natalia, and she said that a supervisor would call me back and no one has called me. I as usual. I am so frustrated with this banks slow and poor service that I will close my account and apply for a loan with Bank of America instead.
