R Bank Lowered Rate

I've had R Bank for a long time. Very competitive in the Reward Checking with many banks and Credit Unions. Customer Service has always been friendly when I've called or emailed.

5/18/2021 - Upgraded their website and mobile apps. It is the same banking system that Consumer's Credit Union recently upgraded too. It is a positive UI experience and R Bank now allows external ACH transfers with other institutions with this system upgrade.

1/27/2021 - Lowered their rate to $2.50%

Slow Application Processing, Not Honoring Rate

I tried to open a CD on the 15th of December and have not received anything other than a 'pending' email with a reference code. Called a CSR today and was informed that they work through applications - when I asked if the rate of the application date will be honored I was told that I will only get the CD rate of the day which will be substantially lower than the advertised promo. After that I cancelled, felt like click bait.

See my update comment, customer service was very quick on their feet to solve the initial hiccups and although 2 weeks later they honored the initial rate. Hence, the revised rating.
