I love my local Red Crown Credit Union. The tellers are so friendly. I have never been treated rudely. My son has a savings account there, also, and the kids' savings accounts are great as well. They provide literature to the children teaching them how to be financially responsible from a young age. There aren't many branches nearby - only one, but this is a small town, so more branches aren't needed. My savings account is connected to my checking, so on the off chance I run my checking over, the money can be withdrawn from my savings account for a small fee. My only complaint is with the interest rates on savings accounts and money market accounts. The interest rate seems quite low. Other than that this is a great credit union.
I held a checking and savings account with Red Crown Credit Union for nearly 5 years.
The majority of interaction I had with my account was online and I don't have anything negative to say about the user interface. It was easy to access my account and acquire the information that I needed.
The few times I did have to go into a branch the staff were very polite, respectful, and friendly. They handled my transactions and inquiries quickly. Several times they went above and beyond by telling me ways I could better manage my account by using the different services they offered for checking and savings accounts. Additionally, the one time I overdrew on my account the fee wasn't horrendous like many other institution's fees are.
If it weren't for my significant other having long term ties to her bank and wishing to join our finances I would bank with Red Crown Credit Union undoubtedly.
