At Least They Coded For Y2k...

Avoid this "member-run credit union" headed by venture capitalists intent on extracting member value. Fees? You like paying fees? This "credit union" has 'em. Need assistance with your account and get transferred to the legal department? Great! Addition Financial's attorney will now tell you to commingle funds between business and personal accounts to cover their erroneous fees. Give it a try if you're unlucky enough to have open accounts here in 2022 and beyond. To everyone else: avoid this antiquated cesspool of crappy system code and moronic, short-sighted leadership unless you’re into that sort of thing. No judging, it’s cool. Good luck though because you’ll need it.

Don't Bank Here

They've been my bank for years which is why I was shocked when I was recently scammed $400 from my checking & I contacted them & I sent the forms they asked me to & then someone else called me & said wrong form, send this one, so I did & then got called by the branch saying wrong form & then someone was supposed to call me & ultimately they told me too much time had passed & they couldn't return my money!! So awful. I feel robbed TWICE!!! DO NOT USE CFE!

Helped Even After Years

I've had this CFE card since I was in high school, I got it through my high school's CFE branch. I used it as a checkings account. It was quite easy at the time, since I went to high school every day, I could put deposits into it at the branch right on my campus. I rated this as a 5 in customer service because there was a point when I went to university and I hadn't used to card in several years. I had forgotten every code and password, and I called the customer service. The woman on the phone helped me for a long time to figure out how to get access to my account. She was extremely helpful and patient. Turns out there was only about $30 left in the card, but it was helpful all the same.

Great bank but a few changes would be nice

I like the fact that my bank does not charge me extra fees that do not mean anything. My friends sometimes get random charges on their accounts for various fees but I have never gotten anything like that.

One thing that they could get better at is their web/mobile experience. I have been banking with them for a few years but have just started using their app a few months ago. I tried to log into their web service and it didn't let me. I only recently got it to work. I talked to a customer service rep about it and they said that web access was a problem for a lot of people, not just me.

Overall, the customer service is great. They're friendly and have helped me out several times.

Happy customer for 10+ years!

My very first account with CFE FCU was opened for me when I was little by my mother. Both of my parents also have CFE accounts so when it was time for my brother and I to open Savings Accounts, that's where they went. Of course I had very little interactions with my bank at first but once I started working, I was actually MY account. Since then, I've opened a Joint Checking Account and also a Shared Savings account. Of all banks I've had experience with (personal and professional) CFE FCU, is by far, my most satisfying. Not only at a branch but I've also called customer service multiple times and I've also become very familiar with their online and mobile banking. All highly recommended!!

CFE Credit Union

I have used CFE as my primary bank for many years, as well as the majority of my family members. They have always been a pleasure to deal with in person and over the phone, and have been knowledgeable in each matter I've dealt with them upon. Their online and mobile banking apps are well-designed and easy to navigate, and provide plenty of secured information about your accounts. When I first opened my accounts with them, they gave me plenty of information about the different account types they have and the low interest rates on their savings accounts. They were able to painlessly set up linked family checking accounts for myself and a few family members. Great experiences overall.

How I feel about My CFE

First of all is really hard to choose a credit union with so many around nowadays, so I chose CFE, located in Florida, to be honest is the closest one to me, they don't really have such great saving plans or anything like that and the Website is about average which is the thing I would site here, they really need to improve the reasons why people should choose them instead of other credit unions. Today I had to deposit some money but I forgot my bank account the lady at the counter was really nice and helped me quickly and efficiently, so I would rate the Customer Service as a 4, because she didn't do it all herself and had to go to somebody else.
