THIEVES AND THEIVERY

Posted by: |

I have banked with this bank almost 20 years now. And I am withdrawing ALL of my money. I get 2 direct deposits into my account on the first of every month and depending on what day first falls on it will come in a day early. I have to now continuously check my account for them stealing more of my money.

I have bill pay setup and have for years where everythin gets paid on the first. No matter the due date of the bill.

Now I did have a credit card that was on auto pay, then received a phone call telling me that my card had been closed due to miss payment. Now I know the money was deposited as it has been for years without change. I even have overdraft allowance of 2000. But on this day. My bill was not paid and got nsf charge of 36.00. Now if you have overdraft protection how is this possible??? And they even take a fee out monthly for this service.
I then got a credit card closed with a late fee attached and as well a 36.00 fee from the bank these bills have been set up for years without it never going unpaid. But 2 months ago it happened.. I had a time here recently when I had to call the bank about a nsf charge on my account and the bank lady told me that I DIDN'T and told her I wouldn't be calling about this if this wasn't happening and I told her I was opening the app up again to let her know exactly what I saw with my own eyes and while speaking with her, I explained to her what I had I just seen happen on my account. And without calling me a LIAR she let me know that,, wasn't possible yet there before me was my account being change from NSF to OD. REALLY??? But that doesn't matter, Either way it was written they took the 36.00. I have noticed that just within the past 2 years they have gotten me for close to $5000. If not more.

So HEED THIS WARNING
Do Not Bank with Bankplus unless your hard earned money isn't a big deal to you. BECAUSE it's a big deal to them that their hands are on your money and will keep it there
" FOR SAFE KEEPING " This is how they pay thier staff is by taking your money. To hold your deposited money until just the right moment a bill to be paid hits your account so that they can get that fee. If my deposits hit my account straight up at midnight it should be credited to the account just at that moment not at 7am in the morning when autopay starts to kick in.

THIEVES. Are who they are
And thievery is what they do.

Do Not Bank With Them

Decided to give them a try as I was looking for a local bank to operate with. I deposited a small about into.the account around $500 upon opening. Used the account to pay for online Christmas stuff, etc. I have been charged $200 in overdraft charges and I cannot.see from any of the online sites where I have been overdrawn. As per the customer service rep, you are charged overdraft for pending transactions. I am unsure how that can happen since example: Stamps.com charged a pending $1 but and then reversed it. The bank has very shady practices. I was charged two ODF for venmo verifying the account. I understand now why this bank will never grow beyond it's small market. Customer service said it will refund $72 when that takes I will close the account. What an awful company. Customer service needs training in dealing with customers, she had the nerve cop an attitude when I started frustration over ODF FOR PENDING CHARGES. I have never heard of a bank doing this. I will stick with my regions, a legit bank.

WORST BANK EVER!!

This bank will lie straight to your face causing your hard earned money to go to nothing but NSF FEES/OD FEES when your account wasn't even in the negative to begin with!! They allowed my car note to process twice, one day apart! Then lied about returning the OD/NSF fees to my account! The teller and customer service (phone) I had been speaking to not only lied to me but had the worst attitude and ZERO customer service experience! Closed my account and now banking with Regions! I know I will never get that money back, and like most families we live pay check to pay check. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF AT&T!!

Worst Banking Experience Imaginable

BankPlus is a HORRIBLE bank. I have used them for years and will be closing my account this week. Their customer service is one of the worst I have ever encountered, they truly let you know that the customer doesn't matter at all. Their policies are outdated and their mobile banking is laughable. I have run into issues before that always require going into a branch, which has been a huge problem while traveling. They also have insane fees and very low interest savings. Do not bank with them.

easy to work with.

Bank Plus has made my life easier. I wanted to have a separate account from my husband so I could save for emergencies and Christmas. By opening an account with them and using them strictly on line my husband never knew. It was so easy and simple to withdraw from our primary checking and make a deposit into my account and I could see in real time the updates in my Bank plus account. I rarely had any problems but the few times I did I could call the main branch and the reps there were always very helpful and answered all my questions. They would always explain everything thoroughly to me so I completely understood everything. I have been using Bank plus for a few years now and I always receive my online statements in a timely manner everything is clear and easy to understand. I have even started a college fund for my son there and it has grown considerable since no one knows it even exists. I would not hesitate to recommend this bank to anyone out there.

Inactivity Fees

Posted by: |

Upon the birth of my second child, my co-workers pooled their gift money and gave us a $200 Visa gift card from BankPlus. We went to use it and BankPlus had taken all $200 in "inactivity fees". $25/month for an "inactivity fee"? That should be against the law. It's unconscionable!

We called to inquire about this policy and asked for the money to be replaced, but they were obviously to ashamed to tell you know directly. They said they would review the matter and for us to check our card balance in a few day. This happened several times and nothing was ever done. I've since closed my accounts there.

They've lost my business because of this. Obviously, I would advise against banking here based on my experience. That's a horrible way to treat customers and they should be ashamed.

Over Draft Fees

This bank will allow your transactions to remain pending for a week then try to send them all through on the same day hoping to get an overdraft charge out of you. Say you have a little bit of money in the bank and a check comes through that you probably forgot about that will not be pending for a week they will let it clear as soon as it hits so that they can get an overdraft fee out of you. This bank robs their customers stay away.

Overdraft Fees

BankPlus charges customers overdraft fees, even when a customer is not in overdraft!!!! Stay away from this bank!

Bankplus is overall a good bank. The best part about this bank is that they are open late until 7pm. They also over an app that you can use to complete most bank transactions. You can complete electronic deposits from your phone. This is very easy. They have friendly staff. They know me by name. Their rates are reasonable. They also give you an overdraft limit. For instance, mine is 2000 dollars. If I use this money though I still have to pay the overdraft limit, but it helps in time of need.
