I've tried to open an account for a CD. Their customer service is not helping at all. They will literally keep your application open, ask for more documents but do not give you any instructions nor the feature on their website to upload that document.
When called , they said ' oh sorry our website is new, we'll contact you within 24 hours . It's been now 2 weeks and still no news from them.
My 250k went to another bank. Never again
Site would not let me verify micro deposits. Had to re do application 3 times. Customer service no help. Was told happening to others and don't know when will be fixed. Could have had money in a CD with another bank earning interest 2 weeks ago. Nothing but a headache, waste of time. Stay Clear. Other positive reviews were most likely written by staff!!!!!!
Short story, account opened and annual fees paid $39, but credit card never been activated. All requested documents uploaded including social security, DL and Water Bill, still not activated, at the end of the story account closed. Annual fee not refund, reason account closed even though card never been activated, to say "used". Agent said check will be send, supervisor said no way to refund back, KIM manager said after 2 months Credit one Bank cannot refund money back. This is called stealing people money. How many client went through the same issue like me? Let's say 100 per months times $39 = $3900. Don't be part of unaware customers like me and others. You are warned, never say, no one said anything!!!
Went online. Tried to open a 13 month CD account. Their site just stopped with a spinning wheel on the screen. Had to go back in only to be advised their site is unavailable and I needed to call in. Done messing with them.
Had nothing but great experience. Customer service was awesome. Bought a one year CD and it was temporary. When I called to cancel it to change to 5 years, they were efficient and pleasant to make this change. Money hasn’t gotten back to my account yet but was told it would be a couple of days. Highly recommend.
I called the first time to dispute an item that was supposed to be canceled. I was told they didn't see the item on charge even though I looked at it on my transaction list and still not reversed. the rep said " I don't see anything, so have a nice day ...goodbye: and hung up on me. decided to write a letter to dispute afterward. nearly three weeks later they sent me a letter requesting more information. Which I promptly sent back. After more weeks of waiting, I decided to call them and after getting disconnected several times I was greeted by women that put me through the same routine all over again. At the near end of our call when I asked her why the rest of the correspondence was never answered ...she said "actually this was the first time you disputed the transaction" I nearly flipped my lid and demanded to speak to a supervisor, which was not much better at listening either. needless to say, we started all over again.... it was a maddening experience. Avoid this bank at all costs.
I contacted Credit One Bank regarding their 5 Year CD and requested a copy of the bank's CD terms. The CSR was unable to provide me with a copy of the account disclosure upon request and stated that the terms would be only disclosed during the CD application process.
